Tyrion in the Woods by Jana Uyeda

This upcoming weekend is President's Day so I'm planning another vacation in a little cabin in the woods with Tyrion, my favorite adventure companion.

I enjoy renting cabins and homes because they offer more space, a comfortable environment and access to outdoor activities. Tyrion has a preference for either the beach or the woods and I require wifi in the cabin so I appreciate the ability to search by map region and view specifics about each place. It's also a great way to get out and see more of the pacific northwest.

We have a number of cabin rental options in Washington state so this time I chose Glamping with Pets, an online service which connects adventurers and their four-legged friends with a variety of unique rentals. I've recently become infatuated with A-frame houses so this Cozy Pet-Friendly Holiday Rental Nestled in Woodlands near Bellingham looks perfect.

I'll bring my cameras this weekend so be sure to check my Instagram frequently. Until then, here are a few of my favorite images from previous adventures.

Freedom of the Press aka I ❤️ the Newseum by Jana Uyeda

Last December I was traveling through Washington, DC and had the opportunity to visit the Newseum again. The Newseum is an interactive museum spanning six floors, all dedicated to freedom of expression and the five freedoms of the First Amendment: religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. As a political science and communications major, a photographer and a citizen of the United States I hope to walk through their doors every chance I get.

I had my Canonet and a few rolls of Fujifilm Pro400H so I headed over on a frigid Friday afternoon. This first set of images are from various points around the museum.

Park Guell + Pinhole by Jana Uyeda

While in Barcelona for Pinhole Day, my good friend Alex (aka Pinholista)  and I decided to visit the famous Park Güell designed by Antoni Gaudí. If you decide to visit, you'll want to purchase your tickets online in advance and wear comfortable shoes as it's a bit of a climb to the entrance.

I brought my Ondu 6X6  and a few rolls of Kodak Portra. Enjoy!

A magical surprise. I'm not sure what happened here but it's sparkly.
